It very well could be a unusual week at work - starting today. Yesterday, I received a phone call from Mom, nothing unusual. Well she started to tell me how my brother and his family were over at her house on Saturday. First of all, I should say my brother and I both work at the same company. In totally different departments, but for the same largest company in this area. Apparently he has been told that his job could be eliminated. What makes this so unusual is that this company is known to be rock solid even during the rough times. To top it off, today from 10 to 12 our whole department is having a meeting that is mandatory. Our immediate manager has told us that we will not be affected be layoffs, but could that of changed? I’ll blog more about it when I know more.

Then I started to do my second post for software applications class. I was reading through some of the others that were posted and I came across a post that was very similar to mine. This student had copied my post, rearranged a few of the words and submitted it as his own. Needless to say I was extremely upset. So I saw that the professor for this class was in office (instant messanger) so I contacted him to speak about it. Fortunately, he saw the similiarities between the posts and will handle it he said. Part of me wishes that he would of told me how it was going to be handled, but I have confidence that he will take care of it.

See what I mean it has already kind of been a crazy couple of days and could only get worse. Hopefully this meeting this morning is nothing to worry about, but who knows. I’ll update about the results tomorrow morning. That’s all I have for now. I hope that you have a great day.
