The weekend is over, blah. I could use some more time just to relax at home before returning to work. Such is life. Yesterday was such a good day. I stayed at home in my PJ’s all day. Tator Tot cooked potato soup, yummy. And we both watched NASCAR. Well, we watched it half way through because we both had fallen a sleep. Still the portion we did see did not disappoint. Good times.
Guess what, one of my charting software is giving me ovulation which they say took place four days ago. Well, I might seriously throw away this cycle because Tator Tot and I haven’t done the deed at all during this time. If this is true, its the latest I have ovulated since I started charting. Maybe, I need to look for something to assist in ovulation other than soy. Obviously the higher dose has done thing but delayed it.
To add to all of the above, I realized yesterday that I have a swollen lymph node in my nether regions. I have no clue why other than apparently I might be fighting off some sort of infection. Its happened to me before, but it has been quite a while. What I wish I could recall if it goes hand in hand with a longer cycle (like this one is). Being an internet doctor is not one of my best traits.
I wish that I was bold enough to take off some serious time from work, but I am not. Right now I feel like I could use a full week of vacation. Even if I were to do that, I am not sure what I would do with myself other than school work. Tator Tot and I live in an apartment building, so it wouldn’t be like we could do house work in preparation of winter. Maybe, its good that I am heading off to work despite my reluctance.

Yesterday, Tator Tot and I had a great day. We did our usual errands, but also met my Mom at the mall for coffee. Tator Tot had his first Starbucks. Now that isn’t quite true. He has had the store bought frappuccino that you can find at Walmart and such, but yesterday was the first time he truly had a drink from a Starbucks kiosk. I should also add that he has been trying to lower his caffeine intake. Actually, my Mom doesn’t drink caffeine at all and all of our drinks were chock full of it. It was a good time.
Still talking about that meeting … I was so pleased to learn that my Mom doesn’t like Palin. I don’t recall speaking of politics before with my Mom, but I would of swore that she was Republican. So I was prepared to hear her say that she was supporting McCain. Luckily that isn’t the case. I can now breathe a sigh of relief. Now I am wondering if Tator Tot stayed up long enough to watch Saturday Night Live.
I did get some of my school work completed yesterday, but I have a bit more to do today. I am getting a little anxious because one professor hasn’t posted any grades yet. My intro to psychology class I am getting a full 100%. Hopefully he will get some grades posted here very soon.
I am really looking forward to today. Tator Tot is cooking potato soup with cheese and crackers as a side. Then the NASCAR race is on at noon today. In my opinion, a perfect Sunday. I forgot to mention that I got my haircut yesterday, I am SO glad. I was looking very shaggy. Now I am styling.

Last night was the first time I stayed up beyond nine in a very long time. I did this in order to watch the VP debates. Although Tator Tot got very bored with it, I was very interested. Again, my whole intention in watching this was to learn about the issues of the candidates. More so of the Republican candidates. I was disappointed to say the least.
Now I did think that Palin presented herself well, she spoke into the camera and talked to the American people. Biden brought points of issue to many of his responses and had facts to back it all up. Expectations were so low with Palin that she rose above what anyone had thought she would do - including me. To sum it up, I am not changing my mind based upon this debate. It was very interesting to watch though.
Yesterday, I think that I proved my worthiness in my department. One of my co-workers even called me the ‘Hero of the Day’. Its the end of the fiscal year for us at work. Accounting sent us a 1500 line spreadsheet that we had to research into. I was able to put together a little program that actually did this for us. So I saved five people from spending about two hours each to do this project. Running of this report allowed only one person to do this for about one and half hours. Pretty darn good results, I think.
On the fertility front my temperature took a big jump this morning. So within the next couple of days it makes me wonder, did I ovulate a couple of days ago? This whole cycle is freaking frustrating. I am temping and reading into the signs (signs being temperatures). Again, I do not have soreness in my breasts so I keep thinking that cycle is very much different than the others. I guess we just keep waiting to see what happens.
